Why don't ChatGPT bullet points work in WhatsApp?
ChatGPT and WhatsApp do not use the same formatting rules. ChatGPT can copy headings, nested bullet points, labelled links, checklists, tables and code blocks. WhatsApp recognises a smaller message format. A normal paste can therefore remove list levels, leave # or ** markers visible, or flatten a table even though the original answer looked correct.

Keep the structure that matters
Deleting every marker also removes useful structure. A better conversion turns headings into bold lines, keeps nested lists readable and writes labelled links with both the label and URL.

What WhatsApp can format
