Zendesk checks where the copied text came from
Zendesk says its ticket composer automatically formats Markdown copied from a plain-text editor. If the same Markdown comes from a rich-text editor, the commands can remain visible. That makes the clipboard representation as important as the characters you can see.
Pasteful writes the converted Zendesk message as text/plain. Paste it normally into the ticket comment composer so Zendesk receives the representation its Markdown parser expects.

Simplify structures Zendesk does not carry across
Zendesk says code blocks and nested lists are not supported when Markdown is pasted into the ticket composer. Pasteful converts fenced code to quoted lines, flattens nested lists and restarts ordered items with Markdown-safe numbering.
Headings, emphasis, strike, links, quotes and ordinary lists stay in Zendesk-compatible Markdown. Preview shows the appearance; Text shows the exact characters copied.
- Fenced code → quoted lines
- Nested list → flat list
- Numbered list → Markdown-safe numbering
- Labelled link → Markdown link
Use this only for ticket comments
Zendesk's email, email-template and help-centre editors do not share one paste contract with the ticket composer. This preset does not claim to format those fields.

Paste it into Pasteful. It stays in this tab.
