Why copy plain Markdown instead of rich text?+
Zendesk documents automatic Markdown formatting when the source is plain text. Rich-text sources can leave commands such as double asterisks visible.
Does it work in Zendesk email templates?+
No. This preset targets ticket comments. Zendesk documents different formatting support for email and email templates.
What happens to code blocks and nested lists?+
Code blocks become quoted lines and nested lists are flattened because Zendesk says those structures do not carry across a Markdown paste.
